Ein Brief on the Wand
Dunkel Stumm

Post-It II Tower Wave one week before my Birthday

I was sleeping
In the basement on Lake Street

Under the Chinese wall before chase
Before the Manhattan river walk
After the Mexican fiesta
(Or was it before? Who can say.)

D called and I didn't
Believe him

You said once
"You don't have to believe me."

Like a warning on the door

Den Toten zur Ehr
Den Lebenden zur Mahnung

They quoted me in
The Times
And on NPR

Two weeping
Shedding fire and men

Before the green
I brought you flowers

And you waved
From other trees

Living with RP
And M

Waiting for Bethesda
And a new hello
And my motley storm

And a kiss
For my birthday
