A Time for Me and a Time for Moo
Once upon a time
And a very good time it was
There was a moocow coming
Down the road
The time before
Moocow sat in her
Mother's barn
Upon the blue lantern
Or so she liked to call
It
Maybe it was the Moolantern.
Only cows can say
But as they chew their hay
Ignoring tugs with
Clumsy hands
At their precious
Posts while standing
And chewing
And baby not sitting
Upon her mother's
Moolantern chair
They chew and coo
And make up moo rhymes of
What's down the road
As clumsy hands grope
And the farmer's prize bull
Prances with his orange ring
Just outside
In the paddock.
Moocow
Bluecow
Sing sweetly now
Chewcow
Wander again down the road
To the boy with clumsy hands
And the farmer's prize bull
Prancing inside a fence
Made for breaking
Don't break it says
The farmer's son
With his clumsy
Catechism finger wag
The eternal fires
And the chords through
Your shiny orange ring
Will bind you in your feeble
And I'll wag and wag
And you naughty bully dog pup
Will naughty naughty
Burn darkly bright
I'm the empty night
Hope not for moocows
You
Naughty naughty
Wag wag wag
I'm your cast iron orange
Booth
See
Darkly
Wag
Naughty
The moocow
Coos her clop
I'm the barn
The chair
And the darkly
Naughty
Break the gate
Chews the moocow's
Daughter she
Waits
Coming down the road
Kuh rhyme for you
Upon this time
In a field of golden
Hay
The farmer's wife sees
Between
The bard
The gate
and
The road
The farmer's wife
She bends
Smiling to her patch
And plucks four tomatoes
Shining
Glisten
She smiles again and looks
To the fruits gathered at
Her waste
The sun shimmers
She knows
It's sinking
She wades through the
Grain
Toward home
Moocow
Bluecow
Sing sweetly now
Chewcow
The road lists
And listens for
You
